Insieme a Luigi Nono, Alessandro Milesi, Ettore Tito e all’influente pittore belga Cecil Van Haanen, Favretto fu apprezzato oltremanica come interprete della vita quotidiana di Venezia. Questo tema godette di particolare popolarità sul mercato inglese tra il 1883 e il 1893.

Favretto does not seem to have visited Great Britain. Together with Luigi Nono, Alessandro Milesi, Ettore Tito and the influential Belgian artist Cecil Van Haanen, Favretto became an acclaimed interpreter in Britain of everyday life in contemporary Venice, a subject that was particularly popular with the English market in the 1880s.
