Come altri artisti dell’ambiente artistico romano, quali, per esempio, Michele Cammarano, Onorato Carlandi e Giuseppe Raggio, Da Pozzo trova una buona clientela tra le sue allieve anglosassoni. Forse forte di questi contatti, dal 1880, viaggia in Inghilterra e Irlanda; nel 1888, visita la Scozia ed espone vedute di Edimburgo a Liverpool l’anno seguente. Alla Biennale di Venezia del 1899, presenta un ritratto di Lady Brabourne. Nel 1909, espone alla Ryder Gallery di Londra insieme a Isabel Da Pozzo (née Cargill), una sua allieva che aveva sposato nel 1902.
Like other artists of the Roman artistic milieu, for example Michele Cammarano, Onorato Carlandi and Giuseppe Raggio, Da Pozzo created a good clientèle from his English and American pupils. Possibly on the strength of these contacts, as from 1880, he travelled in England and Ireland; in 1888, he visited Scotland and exhibited views of Edinburgh in Liverpool the following year. At the Venice Biennale of 1899, he presented a portrait of Lady Brabourne. In 1909, he exhibited at the Ryder Gallery in London, jointly with Isabel da Pozzo (nèe Cargill), a pupil he had married in 1902. |
