Negli anni '60 ricevette varie commissioni da “ricchi signori scozzesi” per opere legate alle imprese di Garibaldi. Il suo ritratto di Lord Napier fu premiato con croce d’oro all’International Exhibition di Londra del 1871.

During the 1860s, Ademollo received several commissions from “wealthy Scottish gentlemen” for works of subjects associated with the feats of Garibaldi. For his portrait of Lord Napier, he was awarded a gold cross at the London International Exhibition of 1871.
