Attilio BACCANI, (Roma 1820-Londra 1890 circa) Home < Indietro

Sappho (1871), “Art Pictorial & Industrial”, 1871

Nota biografica

Dai pochi dati biografici disponibili sembra sia nato in Italia, ma naturalizzato inglese. Mantenne comunque contatti indiretti con gli ambienti culturali e le personalità del suo paese d’origine. Nel 1871, fu nominato Special Commissioner for Italy all’International Exhibition di Londra.

The scarse biographical information available suggests that Baccani was born in Italy, but became a naturalized British citizen. However, he maintained indirect contact with the culture and the personalities of his homeland. In 1871, he was nominated Special Commissioner for Italy at the International Exhibition in London.
